Busy day for birders at McGulpin! A steady stream of visitors stopped by throughout the day, and while unfortunately it was another pretty slow day on the waterbird front (save for a handful of Green-winged Teal), later guests did get to enjoy some nice raptor movement in the afternoon. It was calm and sunny all day with light east winds, and a good number of Turkey Vultures and Bald Eagles took the opportunity to cross the straits. Also saw the first migrating Sharp-shins that I’ve had, though it was still low numbers.
