Waterbird Count – 2 September

Winds from the south today seemed to be keeping much from moving through the straits. Mostly just gulls and cormorants foraging, but did have the first Red-throated Loons of the season! A group of four crossed the bridge and flew west about an hour after sunrise this morning.

Great Blue Heron – 1
Great Egret – 1
Ring-billed Gull – 7
Herring Gull – 3
Bald Eagle – 2
Belted Kingfisher – 1
American Crow – 2
Common Raven – 8
Monarch Butterfly – 1
