Nasty weather today at the count. First day so far this season that it didn’t get above 50 degrees, and the north wind stayed strong throughout the day, bringing with it frequent rain and bad visibility. Ducks were moving in good numbers, and while the heavy rain made it difficult to see them well, it appeared that the majority were Mergansers, Redheads, and scoters. If there was any Loon movement, it was hidden in the haze of rain during the first couple of hours of the morning.
