Foreign recovery

MSRW captured their first foreign Northern Saw-whet Owl last night! Now that the border with Canada is open I hope it didn’t have too much trouble crossing! This second year female was banded last October near Thunder Bay, Ontario, as a hatch year bird. After the irruption last year of hatch year birds we are understandably capturing many second year birds. Nice to see that some of last years rookies have survived!
